Dr. Xu studied under Professor Jiang Baoguo and graduated with a master's and doctoral degree in orthopedics from the Medical School of Peking University. He has accumulated rich clinical experience in foot and ankle surgery and trauma orthopedics. He has unique insights and profound accomplishments in the treatment of foot and ankle trauma and diseases such as ankle fractures, calcaneus and talus fractures, bunion, hammer toe, heel pain, Achilles tendon rupture and insertional Achilles tendinopathy, ankle sprains and other ligament injuries, as well as pain and deformity in late-stage foot and ankle diseases. He is particularly skilled in minimally invasive treatment of such conditions and is a nationally renowned expert in the field of foot and ankle. He has been invited to speak and host as an expert at national conferences multiple times. He has contributed to and translated several academic monographs and is an editorial board member of the fourth edition of the authoritative orthopedic work "Bone and Joint Injuries". He has published over 30 academic articles in core journals both internationally and domestically. In terms of social positions, he serves as the Secretary-General of the Foot and Ankle Surgery Group of the Orthopedics Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, Deputy Director of the Foot and Ankle Working Committee of the Orthopedic Physicians Branch of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association, Deputy Director and Secretary-General of the Chinese Diabetic Foot Alliance, Deputy Group Leader of the Foot and Ankle Surgery Group of the Orthopedics Branch of the Beijing Medical Association, and Chairman of the Foot and Ankle Medicine Professional Committee of the Beijing Society of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine.
