Dr. Zhang works as an otolaryngologist at Peking University People's Hospital. She currently serves as an editorial board member of the Chinese Journal of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, a committee member of the Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery Pharynx and Larynx Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, a committee member of the Beijing Municipal Committee for the Standardized Training of Resident Physicians, a committee member of the Standardized Training Professional Committee for Resident Physicians of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association, an executive committee member of the Pharynx and Larynx Branch of the China Healthcare Promotion Committee, a standing committee member of the Gastroesophageal Reflux Committee of the Healthcare Promotion Association, a committee member of the Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Branch of the Chinese Geriatrics Health Care Research Association, and an undergraduate teaching supervision expert at Peking University Medical School.

Dr. Zhang specializes in CO2 laser-assisted minimally invasive surgery for benign and malignant lesions in the throat; surgical treatment of enlarged tonsils, adenoids, and benign and malignant tumors in the maxillofacial and head and neck regions, such as thyroid tumors, salivary gland tumors, laryngeal cancer, and hypopharyngeal cancer. She also diagnoses and provides comprehensive treatment for sleep apnea syndrome; diagnoses and treats pharyngolaryngeal reflux disease; and diagnoses and treats voice disorders, such as vocal cord polyps and other vocal cord lesions.
